Terminals & Fuel Dealers

The Vermont Fuel Dealers Association (VFDA) is a trade organization that provides legislative advocacy, regulatory assistance, and technical training for retail fuel and energy service businesses.

 Pennsylvania Petroleum Association (PPA)

The Pennsylvania Petroleum Association (PPA) is a not-for-profit trade association representing independent petroleum marketers at both the wholesale and retail levels, as well as firms supplying petroleum products and other related services. The Pennsylvania Petroleum Association, represents various types of businesses in the energy and transportation sector, along with any entities that supply or support those businesses.

International Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA)

ILTA represents companies and partnerships that operate terminals worldwide. Founded in 1974, the International Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA) is an advocate and key resource for the liquid terminal industry. With headquarters in the Washington, DC, area, ILTA advocates on behalf of the liquid terminal industry in Congress and at the federal agencies.

Trucking Association of New York (TANY)

Since 1932, the Trucking Association of New York (TANY) has tirelessly advocated on behalf of the trucking industry throughout New York State and in Washington, D.C. They promote safety on roadways by offering programs throughout the year and provide outreach to ensure those within the industry, as well as the general public, are equipped with the skills to be as safe as possible on the road.

New York School Bus Contractors Association (NYSBCA)

The New York School Bus Contractors Association (NYSBCA) represents the private school bus transportation industry with the primary mission of promoting safe, reliable, and cost-effective student transportation in New York State. Formed in 1950, NYSBCA has a proud and accomplished tradition of serving as the voice of school bus contractors, distributors, manufacturers, and suppliers on issues of common interest at the state and federal levels.

Maine Motor Transportation Association (MMTA)

The Maine Motor Transport Association (MMTA) is dedicated to advocating for and promoting the success of the motor transportation industry in Maine and beyond. They achieve this by fostering collaboration and education among members to benefit both the industry and the public.

Greater Northeast Motorcoach Association (GNEMA)

Greater Northeast Motorcoach Association works in cooperation with national and other state industry associations, local, state, and federal agencies, legislators, suppliers of products and services to the operators, attractions, destinations, and other entities to promote the betterment and welfare of the industry, members, and association objectives. 

New England Bus Association (NEBA)

The New England Bus Association was first organized in 1925 and adopted its first formal By-Laws in February, 1937. The objects and purposes of this association are: (a) To provide an economic means for the interchange of information and exchange of views with regard to the several phases of motor carrier operation other than rates, routes or fares. (b) The promotion of economy in the publication and dissemination of information to its members and the public. (c) To assist, when deemed necessary or advisable, members in the avocation of enactment of uniform, just and proper laws and regulatory bodies’ rules and regulations governing any phase of passenger motor carrier operation.

Connecticut Energy Marketers Association (CEMA)

CEMA's 243 retail and wholesale heating and motor fuel members work to strengthen and protect the future of the petroleum industry through supporting the communities in which they live and work and through outstanding service to their customers. CEMA keeps members up-to-date on the latest legislative and regulatory proposals from our state and federal government, and defends the interests of all Energy Marketers throughout the state of Connecticut. The collective strength of our membership provides the platform by which the liquid fuels industry can continue to flourish, by working with government regulators to promote, preserve and protect our industry in today’s business climate.

Energy Marketing Association of New Hampshire (EMANH)

The Energy Marketers Association of New Hampshire (EMANH) supports local heating oil providers and promotes the use of oil heat in the state. Membership extends to propane and other HVAC companies as well. Benefits of membership include training sessions, networking events, and industry news updates. They offer a variety of training for oil heat professionals, from certification renewals to full courses, designed to promote continuing education for technicians, customer service representatives, and more. EMANH also provides resources for New Hampshire oil dealers and HVAC providers to develop their services and grow their customer base. These resources include consumer outreach tools like marketing materials that promote oil heat, industry advancements, and customer rebates.

Energy Marketers Association of Rhode Island (EMARI)

The Energy Marketers Association of Rhode Island (EMARI) is committed to helping its members get the most value out of their membership. They provide pertinent heating oil industry information, hold informative events and seminars, and keep our members connected with community residents and businesses

Empire State Energy Association (ESEA)

Empire State Energy Association unites marketers of heating and motor fuels in pursuit of greater opportunities and a more prosperous environment for independent energy marketers in New York State. The Empire State Energy Association’s mission is to advocate on behalf of retail fuel dealers and related energy businesses in the State of New York. ESEA seeks to provide education, training, legislative and regulatory assistance to its members, and to promote the important role its members play in New York State’s economy to the public at large.

Upstate New York Energy Association (UNYEA) 

UNYEA was formed in 2014 upon the merger of two heating industry institutes, which had existed side-by-side since the 1960s. The Oil Fuel Institute of Central New York (OFICNY) was registered as a domestic not-for-profit corporation in 1962. Two years later, the Oil Heat Institute of Eastern New York (OHIENY) was organized following a consolidation of groups in Troy, Albany, Mohawk Valley, Fulton and Montgomery counties. OHIENY later expanded to include Oilheat dealers in 19 additional counties throughout upstate New York. Combined, the new UNYEA consolidates operations while extending a unified portfolio of services for the Oilheat dealer and customer.

New York State Energy Coalition (NYSEC)

The New York State Energy Coalition (NYSEC) is the leading voice for Bioheat® fuel in New York City, Long Island, and Westchester. They advocate and educate consumers, dealers, and decision-makers about the benefits of Bioheat® fuel, believing it to be the best heating option for the region.

Massachusetts Energy Marketers Association (MEMA)

The Massachusetts Energy Marketers Association (MEMA) is a business trade association that has served the home and commercial heating and cooling marketplace for over 65 years. The association represents hundreds of companies across the state including retail marketers, wholesale supplier operations, and producers of clean, renewable biodiesel. Collectively, MEMA’s retail members store, sell, and deliver most of the residential and commercial liquid heating fuels used statewide. 

Maine Energy Marketers (MEMA)

The Maine Energy Marketers Association, MEMA, is a non-profit 501c(6) trade association. MEMA has more than 175 associate members who provide goods and services to Maine’s petroleum dealers and their customers. MEMA serves its members and the industry by promoting the sale of heating and motor fuels, advocating for high installation standards, and fostering ethical practices while educating the public and related businesses.

National Energy & Fuels Institute (NEFI)

Since its inception, the National Energy & Fuels Institute has been a fierce advocate for the home heating industry. As a full-service 501(c)(6) trade association, the National Energy & Fuels Institute offers annual trade shows, business conferences and other networking opportunities.

Women in Energy

Women in Energy is a 501C3 national association founded by established members of the oil and energy industries with years of experience under their belts. 

Fuel Merchants Association of NJ (FMANJ)

The Fuel Merchants Association of New Jersey is the advocate for more than 600 petroleum marketers and industry suppliers doing business in the state. FMA also promotes the industry’s point of view with related industries and collaborates with the insurance industry to ensure that homeowners can secure affordable coverage for their oilheated homes.  

Manufacturing & Construction

Manufacturing and construction associations advocate for favorable legislation and regulations that impact everything from safety standards to material costs. The associations provide educational programs and resources to keep members up-to-date on the latest advancements in technology, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes. They also offer valuable resources like industry benchmarks and safety protocols to help members stay competitive and compliant. Master Builders' Association of Western Pennsylvania, Inc. is a trade association whose membership includes more than 255 of the top general contractors, construction managers, specialty contractors, and service and supplier companies supporting our region's commercial construction industry. The MBA brings a strong, influential, and single voice to the industry. They are one of 96 chapters affiliated with Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) representing over 32,000 members nationwide.

Automotive

Automotive associations, comprised primarily of car dealerships act as a unified voice, advocating for auto dealers interests before legislators, regulators, and the media. They ensure your voice is heard on critical issues impacting dealerships. Automotive Associations also offer educational programs, seminars, and publications to keep you up-to-date on complex regulations and industry trends.

MA State Automobile Dealers Association (MSADA)

The Massachusetts State Automobile Dealers Association (MSADA) represents the interests of over 400 franchised new car and truck dealers in the Commonwealth. The MSADA’s job is to protect its members’ political and economic interests and increase the value of all automotive dealerships in Massachusetts, regardless of size or location. MSADA’s primary focus is to be the dealers’ voice before state, federal, and local governing bodies and administrative agencies as well as all public and media outlets.

The Washington DC, Maryland, Delaware Service Station and Automotive Repair Association and Council of Automotive Repair (WMDA-CAR)

As a coalition of independent owners of service stations, auto repair shops, convenience stores and other businesses associated with the automotive industry, The Washington DC, Maryland, Delaware Service Station and Automotive Repair Association and Council of Automotive Repair (WMDA-CAR) promotes cooperation, understanding and education among our membership.

In addition to providing a strong industry voice in the tri-state area for over 85 years, WMDA-CAR is committed to supporting and strengthening member businesses by advancing shared business interests, monitoring state and local legislative efforts, and building strategic partnerships that ensure the continued health and growth of our industry.

Rhode Island Hospitality Association (RIHA)

RIHA represents over 800 foodservice, hotels, vendors and hospitality members in the state of Rhode Island and has been the voice of the hospitality and foodservice industries in the state since 1963.

The Business and Industry Association is New Hampshire’s statewide chamber of commerce and leading business advocate. The BIA is New Hampshire’s only broadbased, business advocacy organization. Maryland Retailers Association (MRA)

The Maryland Retailers Alliance (MRA) consists of thousands of retailers across the state. As the retail community’s major trade association, MRA is a diverse and broad-based organization covering all segments of the retail industry.  MRA advocates for local businesses across the state through its official partnership with the Maryland Main Street Program. Operating under the belief that merchants can achieve more as a group than any one business owner acting alone, MRA is dedicated solely to the interests of the retail community.

New Hampshire Grocers Association (NHGR)

The New Hampshire Grocers Association (NHGA) is a non-profit association dedicated to excellence in serving its membership through advocacy, communication and education. NHGA represents the interests of both the chained and independent grocery retailers and their suppliers. Its members include, but are not limited to, c-stores, local markets, gas stations, butcher shops, cafes, sub shops, pharmacies, campgrounds, specialty food shops, mid-sized independent supermarkets, and large supermarket chains.

The Rhode Island Food Dealers Association is a trade association established in 1909 and today it continues to foster the same mission by serving the food industry through education, members services and providing a unified voice for the industry.

Massachusetts Package Stores Association

The Massachusetts Package Stores Association (MassPack) is a non-profit trade organization representing the interests of local and independently-owned retail alcohol beverage stores across Massachusetts. The primary objective of MassPack is to sustain its membership through the preservation of the Commonwealth’s three-tier system, which rationally balances public safety with commercial and consumer demand for alcoholic beverages.

Cannabis

Cannabis associations offer multifaceted benefits for their members, catering specifically to growers and other cannabis businesses. They function as industry advocates, lobbying for favorable cannabis legislation and regulations that impact businesses. The New Jersey Cannabusiness Association is a non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting a responsible and inclusive cannabis industry. Starting with advocacy for medical cannabis and patient’s rights, the NJCBA led efforts to end cannabis prohibition, establish a process for expungements, and put an end to outdated stigmas. Today, the NJCBA continues to work with State lawmakers and regulators to ensure there is a robust and responsible industry that creates jobs and supports communities.
