Friday, March 15th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.821, roughly three cents below Thursday’s closing price of $2.855. Moving cautiously higher to tally the intraday high of $2.830 by 9:20AM, buyers soon exhausted their momentum as bearish weather forecasts proved too much to overcome. Crossing midday near $2.805 the contract fluctuated along $2.810 until slipping to the intraday low of $2.791 at 2:20PM. April closed lower on Friday at $2.795.
This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 12 cents; Natural Gas was up two cents; Heating Oil was down slightly; and Gasoline was up slightly.
