May NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.275 on Monday, April 17th

Monday, April 17th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.263, fifteen cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.114. Recording the intraday high of $2.314 by 9:30AM, prices traded along the $2.280 mark for the majority of the session as short-term forecasts trended colder for the middle of April. Marking an intraday low of $2.250 at 1:15PM, May closed higher on Monday at $2.275.

As of 7:15AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 16 cents; Natural Gas was unchanged; Heating Oil was down slightly; and Gasoline was down two cents.
