April NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.582 on Monday, March 22nd

Monday, March 22nd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.517, two cents below Friday’s closing price of $2.535.  Recording an intraday low of $2.514 within minutes of the opening bell, prices rose steadily throughout the day as momentum turned bullish.  Crossing midday $2.540, the contract rose to an intraday high of $2.585 at 2:20PM.  April closed higher on Monday at $2.582.

As of 7:15AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $2.55; Natural Gas was down three cents; Heating Oil was down six cents; and Gasoline was down six cents.
