Friday, May 29th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $1.821, just below Thursday’s closing price of $1.827. Arcing downward to record and intraday low of $1.763 shortly after 10:00AM, the contract traded sideways near $1.770 through midday. Surging higher over the final ninety minutes of the week, prices rose to an intraday high of $1.860 at 2:20PM as the July contract closed higher on Friday at $1.849, up 6% on the week.
As of 7:40AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down seven cents; Natural Gas was down eight cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was up slightly.
