November NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.214 on Friday, October 11th

Friday, October 11th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.213, just below Thursday’s closing price of $2.218. Tumbling to an intraday low of $2.187 by 9:30AM, prices shot higher in the following ninety minutes to record and intraday high of $2.262.  Coming down from this ascent to stabilize near $2.225, the contract traded sideways for the balance of the day as uncertain weather reports have kept traders waiting for the start of wintry weather.  November closed marginally lower on Friday at $2.214.

As of 8:40AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.12; Natural Gas was up eight cents; Heating Oil was down three cents; and Gasoline was down three cents.
