December NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts Closed at $4.700 on Monday, November 19th

Monday, November 19th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $4.518, nearly twenty-five cents above Friday’s closing price of $4.272.  Trending modestly lower to find the intraday high of $4.427 at 10:00AM, the contract then surged upward over the following three hours to mark the intraday high of $4.779 at 1:00PM. Unable to sustain this weather-induced momentum, December trended lower over the balance of the day to close higher on Monday at $4.700.

This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.30; Natural Gas was down 12 cents; Heating Oil was down four cents; and Gasoline was down five cents.
