February NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $1.893 on Friday, January 24th

Friday, January 24th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $1.885, four cents below Thursday’s closing price of 1.926.  Declining overnight as bearish fundamentals continue to plague the market, prices rose to an intraday high of $1.912 by 9:40AM.  Falling soon thereafter to fluctuate along $1.895 for the majority of the session, marking an intraday low of $1.878 at 1:00PM, February closed lower on Friday at $1.893, down roughly 5% on the week.

As of 8:50AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.66; Natural Gas was up seven cents; Heating Oil was down six cents; and Gasoline was down seven cents.
