Friday, June 28th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.312, a penny below Thursday’s closing price of $2.324. Riding the previous session’s storage induced momentum early on, prices rose to a ten-day intraday high of $2.364 by 9:20AM. Returning to opening level territory by 11:00AM, the contract fluctuated along either side of $2.315 through the balance of the day as August closed lower on Friday at $2.308, up nearly 6% on the week.
As of 9:00AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $1.56; Natural Gas was down five cents; Heating Oil was up four cents; and Gasoline was up six cents.
