April NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts Closed at $2.695 on Friday, March 2nd

Friday, March 2nd saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $2.713, nearly two cents above Thursday’s closing price of $2.698.  Rising to the intraday high of $2.720 within minutes of opening, unsettled trading through 9:30AM saw prices fall to the intraday low of $2.691 before stabilizing near $2.705.  Seesawing along this mark for the balance of the day, short-term forecasts supported current prices as the EIA has estimated that the withdrawal season will conclude at month end.  April closed slightly lower on Friday at $2.695.

This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up five cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was down two cents; and, Gasoline was down one cent.
