April NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $4.833 on Monday, March 7th

Monday, March 7th saw the April NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at of $4.997, two cents below Friday’s closing price of $5.016. Falling from an intraday high of $5.000 within minutes of the opening bell, prices found support near $4.890 by 10:00AM. Getting a little ahead of itself following the latest bullish weather forecasts, the contract sank to an intraday low of $4.825 ahead of 2:30PM. April closed lower on Monday at $4.833; down nearly 4% since Friday, but up 2% from Thursday’s close.

As of 6:00AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up $3.24; Natural Gas was down 14 cents; Heating Oil was up 19 cents; and Gasoline was up nine cents.
