Monday, March 20th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.372, three cents above Friday’s closing price of $2.338. Marking the intraday high of $2.388 within minutes of the open, the contract then traded lower as weather driven demand is expected to weaken by the end of the month. Falling to $2.268 by midday, April tallied an intraday low of $2.211 ahead of 2:30PM, ultimately finishing lower on the day at $2.223.
As of 8:00AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 76 cents; Natural Gas was up one cent; Heating Oil was down two cents; and Gasoline was up one cent.
