Monday, March 21st saw the April NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at of $4.785, seven cents below Thursday’s closing price of $4.863. Drifting downward to reach the intraday low of $4.748 shortly after 10:00AM, the contract then mounted a steady ascent that would span the afternoon. Warming temperatures and steady production are putting bearish pressure on the contract. Reaching and intraday high of $4.910 at 2:15PM, April closed higher on Monday at $4.900.
As of 6:20AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.22; Natural Gas was up three cents; Heating Oil was down seven cents; and Gasoline was down one cent.
