September NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract Closed at $2.200 on Friday, August 16th

Friday, August 16th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.189, roughly four cents below Thursday’s closing price. Jumping to an intraday high of $2.209 by 9:10AM. Prices then gradually fell to their intraday low of $2.170 at 11:00AM. Recovering from here to ascend into the afternoon, September closed lower on Friday at $2.200.

As of 8:50 EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was up 45 cents; Natural Gas was down five cents; Heating Oil was up one cent; and Gasoline was unchanged.
