Tuesday, August 6th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contract open at $2.097, nearly three cents above Monday’s closing price of $2.070. Slipping to an intraday low of $2.081 within minutes of the opening bell, traders were quick to recoup these losses and fuel a climb to the intraday high of $2.133 at 11:10AM. Seesawing along $2.120 late into the session, September stepped lower as 2:30PM approached, finishing higher on the day at $2.111.
As of 8:55AM EST this morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down $1.09; Natural Gas was up two cents; Heating Oil was down two cents; and Gasoline was down two cents.
