November NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts Closed at $3.185 on Friday, October 26th

Friday, October 26th saw the front-month NYMEX Natural Gas Futures Contracts open at $3.143, six cents below Thursday’s closing price of $3.202.  Trading lower through 10:20AM as the contract marked the intraday low of $3.102, prices quickly reversed direction with aims to reclaim overnight losses.  Surpassing $3.150 by midday and continuing to the intraday high of $3.195 by 1:20PM, short-term below average temperatures continue to provide support.  November closed at $3.185 on Friday, lower on the day and nearly seven cents lower on the week.  Following a similar trajectory after an overnight decline, the December contract posted a steady recovery through the day to close three cents lower at $3.225.

This morning in Globex, WTI Crude was down 22 cents; Natural Gas was down seven cents; Heating Oil was down two cents; and, Gasoline was up slightly.  Additionally, cash prices were lower in New York and New England.
